How to overcome shyness positively in 5 ways

How to overcome shyness is a question generally asked by teenagers and young adults also. But first of all we should know that what exactly shyness is? Shyness is the feeling of fear or anxiety that develops over time. Lack of caring by parents or guardian or overprotective parents or guardian can also make a person shy. So here are some tips to overcome shyness and become bold.

1. THINK LESS AND DO MORE

This is important. Yes it is, you need to think less about doing something which can trigger your shyness or fear, so you need to do action rather than thinking. Believe it or not, this is the most difficult thing to do for shy people. Shy people generally give more time on thinking rather than doing this can be due to lack of experience, inferiority complex, etc.

You just need to start taking actions and for your own good, start with things which are not much difficult for you.

#2. AVOID PERSONS WHO DOES MORE HARM THAN GOOD

This is an important thing to do. Hurting your ego, especially when you are shy, can cause you more harm than a normal person. You don’t need criticism at this time, as it can make you feel inferior to others.

So avoiding persons who are of quarrelsome nature and nitpicker. You need to focus on yourself.

3. EXERCISE REGULARLY AND BECOME PHYSICALLY FIT

Believe it or not but many people dealing with shyness or dealt with shyness accepts that regular exercise and being physically fit helps you to overcome shyness. Because it will give you more confidence and more confidence will help you in handling criticism.

You can exercise at your home, if you can’t join a gym. Your home is your strong zone, so use your strong zone to defeat shyness and fear.

But it is also very important for you to be social. If your neighbours are not according to your taste, then friends can help you. You should get out of your neighbourhood whenever you go out if your neighbours are not good to you. This can make you more confident.

#4. START MAKING FRIENDS

 

Here is the big deal, shyness is all about fear of society or feeling inferior to the society. So you need to make friends in order to overcome shyness. But the  friends should be of your age or younger than you. This can be helpful because you have more experience than your friend and this will boost your confidence.

Play the role of leader in your friend circle and if you don’t have much friends then become the decision maker in your friendship with any person.

#5. STOP COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS

Shy people generally compare themselves with others and that is the reason for their shyness, you need to be social but you don’t have to compare yourself with others. Comparing yourself can lead to feeling more inferior to others. You are hero in your life.

#6. [BONUS] LET THEM LAUGH!

If someone makes fun of you, then avoid him or her, cut off every relation with him or her. If he /she realises that he /she did wrong to you, then forgive him / her.

Let people laugh at you, they will stop very soon. Be confident at take decisions without any hesitation because it’s your life not someone else’s. A day will come when they will become your good friends. At last pray to God.
